I dived into the night-sky a bright dress of cold lights I’ll never reach never touch nor change open wide, those are the eyes I’ll never threat My heart tonight is on the butcher’s table Between stage and audience unspeakable distances are filled with charming indifference, it’s an applause of starlight Darling, say that you love me and spit in the face of eternity! The house gets dusty and we argue again, we put things together and one week later the garbage is filled and the garden is messy, I know it will get windy soon why should I pile leaves in a corner? The answer echoes and burns into the night-sky a bright dress of cold lights I’ll never reach never touch nor change open wide, those are the eyes I’ll never threat
Author Notes
This poem deals with the frustration of mortal human beings.
That face the indifference of (almost) eternal celestial bodies.
The struggles we encounter in everyday life seem so unfair.
Compared to the unflappable existence of the rest of cosmos.
